Laska ( German  Laatzig ) is a village in the Gmina Wolin (city and rural municipality Wollin) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . Laatzig is located in Western Pomerania between the towns of Wolin (German Wollin ) and Kamień Pomorski (Cammin) , 4 km northeast of Wolin, on the east bank of the Dziwna (Dievenow) .

history

The first mention of a church is from 1288. Until about 1600 the news is sparse. The Pomeranian document book contains some references to border disputes and income of the church. The village is mentioned in a letter from the city of Wollin from January 8, 1324, in which the city confesses that its border and fishing disputes with those of Muckerwitz in the area of Hagen and Darsewitz have been settled; The boundaries between Laatzig, Paatzig and Weckow are described and marked with stones.

After 1910, Laatzig was connected to the Massow overland center and thus to the electrical power grid. In 1912 an electricity and machine cooperative with 16 members was founded. In the autumn of 1936 Laatzig had 40 pantographs.

Road conditions were very poor until 1924, although Laatzig was near the town of Wollin. The rutted country roads to Wollin and Zebbin were hardly passable in rainy weather. For a mediocre load, the farmers needed four horses as a leader. The village street of Laatzig was unpaved, so that the pedestrians of Drammin made a wide berth around Laatzig and preferred a path over the fields. In 1924/25 a road was built and the village road from Wollin to Zebbin was paved.
