Alberta Rommel

Alberta Rommel ( pseudonym : Britta Verhagen ; * May 5, 1912 in Stuttgart ; † December 22, 2001 ) was a German music teacher and writer .

Life

Alberta Rommel was the daughter of the writer Clara Rommel-Hohrath . Alberta drum graduated from 1929 to 1934, a study on the Wuerttemberg Academy of Music in Stuttgart ; then she received private singing lessons . From 1936 she worked as a singing teacher. After the Second World War she lived as a freelance writer , most recently in Stuttgart.

Alberta Rommel was the author of girls' books and historical novels , mostly on topics from the Italian Renaissance . From the eighties she published under the pseudonym "Britta Verhagen" some fantasy novels and - following the controversial ideas of Jürgen Spanuth - works on prehistory and early history in the Grabert-Verlag, known for its right-wing program . In 1956 she received a "Special Prize for the Most Beautiful Girl's Book " for the novel "The Golden Veil" as part of the German Youth Book Prize .
