Albrecht Penck Medal

The Albrecht Penck Medal was a prize awarded by the German Quaternary Association (DEUQUA) for achievements in Quaternary research , which honored not only geological but also botanical and archaeological research.

The award commemorated Albrecht Penck (1858–1945) and was last awarded in 2014. The DEUQUA Merit Medal is to take its place and the place of the Woldstedt Prize, which is also awarded by DEUQUA.
