Aldrick Rosas (* 7. July 1994 in Chico , California ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the Kickers . He is currently without a contract.

college

Rosas attended Southern Oregon University and played for their team, the Raiders , for two years successfully college football , where he was able to utilize 25 of 32 field goal attempts.
In 2014 he and his team won the national championship of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), a university sports association in which smaller universities are organized. He retired in the final on an attempted tackle a torn ligament and had to pause for a year. Without playing another game, he signed up for the 2016 NFL Draft after recovering .

Tennessee Titans

Not atypical for a kicker, Rosas was not considered in the draft, but was subsequently signed by the Tennessee Titans as a free agent , took part in all the preparation, but could not prevail against the veteran Ryan Succop and was even before the start of the regular season retired again.

New York Giants

In 2017 he was signed by the New York Giants and started his professional career more than two and a half years after his last college game. Although his first season was disappointing - he was only able to use 72% of all field goal and 87% of the extra point attempts, whereby the Giants took penultimate or last place in the respective statistics - they stuck to Rosas as a kicker. In fact, he showed a significant improvement in 2018 and was even called to the Pro Bowl . Particularly noteworthy was his performance in the game against the Chicago Bears , in which he scored three field goals, in addition to the decisive goal in overtime with 57 yards, it was also the longest in the history of the franchise .
After he had to answer in court for a hit-and-run accident, he was fired by the Giants in July 2020.
