Alejandra Cisneros (born April 18, 1995 in Tampico ) is a Mexican tennis player .

Career

Cisneros, who started playing tennis when she was eight , prefers clay courts. She mainly played on the ITF Women's Circuit .

Cisneros played her first professional tournament in August 2011 in San Luis Potosí . It has been in the world rankings since 2013.

Cisnero represented Mexico at the "U16 World Cup" and was ranked 18th in the world junior ranking. She participated in the junior women's competitions of the US Open 2012 and the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open 2013. In 2013 she also won the "Copa Yucatan" .

In March 2014 she received a wildcard for the qualification for the individual competition of the Monterrey Open as well as with her partner Camila Fuentes for the main field in the doubles of this tournament of the WTA Tour . She lost her encounter against Luksika Kumkhum in the individual qualification with 4: 6 and 0: 6. The first round encounter in doubles Cisneros and Fuentes lost against Gabriela Dabrowski and Oksana Kalaschnikowa with 5: 7, 6: 1 and [7:10].

Since this tournament in March 2014, Cisneros has not played in any other professional tournaments and has not been in the world rankings since 2015.

Cisneros plays for the Armstrong Atlantic State University college team in 2016 .
