Aleksandar Sarowni ( Bulgarian Александър Заровни , English transcription Aleksandar Zarovni; born February 20, 1975 ) is a former Bulgarian biathlete .
Aleksandar Sarowni contested his first international race in the European Biathlon Cup in the 2002/03 season . In his first race, a sprint in Windischgarsten , he was 33rd and missed the point placements by just under three places, but won points for the first time in the following pursuit race in 23rd place. He achieved his best placement in the racing series in the same season as 19th of an individual in Ridnaun . In 2003 he ran his first races in the World Cup in Ruhpolding , where he was 59th in the sprint and 57th in the pursuit. In Östersund , shortly before the 2003 European Biathlon Championships, he was 47th of a pursuer and thus achieved his best placement in the World Cup. At the European Championships in Forni Avoltri , Sarowni was 46th in sprint and pursuit, he did not finish the individual. There followed the Biathlon World Championships 2003 of Khanty-Mansiysk , where the Bulgarian 70th was the function SINGLE and 80th of the sprint. In 2004 he took part in the world championships for the second time in Oberhof , where he was 74th in the individual and 85th in the sprint and thus roughly repeated his performances from the previous year. The 2004 European Biathlon Championships in Minsk concluded his international career . In Belarus, Sarowni finished 29th in the individual and 33rd in the sprint and pursuit. He also ran the only relay race of his career at an international championship and was ninth on the side of Mikhail Kletscherow , Vitaly Rudentschik and Kiril Wassilew .
