history

The Aleksandr Blok shortly before its resurrection as the new Aleksandr Grin building

The ship was named after the Soviet poet Alexander Blok in 1984 . After the handover and brief operation as a river cruise ship, the Aleksandr Blok was moored in 1987 in Moscow next to the Sowinzentr exhibition center and used as a 4-star hotel ship. On August 18, 2011, she left the berth after 24 years and headed for the Khimki Reservoir ( Russian Химкинское водохранилище ). It was only later announced that the ship was going to Kimry with Rybinsk as the following destination. After the modernization according to the Q-065 / PV08 project at the Nobel shipyard in Rybinsk, the ship was renamed Aleksandr Grin , but entered in the Russian River Register as a newly built vessel . After the renovation, the ship has 56 double cabins. The first trip on April 30th and the last trip on October 17th, 2014 were open to domestic tourists.

Her sister ships are Demyan Bednyy , Mikhail Svetlov , Sergey Yesenin and Valeriy Bryusov .
