Alev Lenz

Alev Lenz (born January 17, 1982 in Munich ) is a German-Turkish singer / songwriter .

Career

The daughter of the information technician Reimar Lenz and the Turkish actress Berrin Alganer received music and rhythm lessons at the age of four, followed by piano lessons at the age of seven, followed by lessons in ballet , drama and singing . Her father was initially against her becoming a musician. In 2001, their then hard rock band Alev signed a publishing contract with BMG Music Publishing . After two self-produced CDs and an album that was released in Germany, Turkey and the United States, she separated from the band.

She composed her solo debut album Storytelling Piano Playing Fräulein , commuting between Germany and New York . Don Philippe from the hip-hop band Freundeskreis then produced the album in Berlin , which was released on their own label (My Own Record Company) distributed by Groove Attack .

Alev Lenz speaks German , English , Turkish and French .
