Career

Britti 2008

Britti got his first guitar at the age of seven and switched to electric guitar at 14 . In 1992 he released his first self-titled album on Fonit Cetra , which, however, received no attention. He then wrote music for soundtracks , in 1995 for Uomini senza donne (with Alessandro Gassman ) and in 1996 for Stressati . That year the musician also signed a new record deal and released the single Quello che voglio . In 1998 he achieved a summer hit with Solo una volta (o tutta la vita) , whereupon he released his album It.pop , which was named the best debut of the year by Musica e dischi . Then he entered the newcomer category of the Sanremo Festival and won with the song Oggi sono io .

In 2000 Britti released his next album La vasca , which was preceded by the single Una su 1,000,000 . With Sono contento he then took part in the 2001 Sanremo Festival in the main category. After a short break, during which he traveled through Europe and performed in small clubs with his guitar, the musician achieved second place in Sanremo in 2003 with 7000 caffè ; then the album 3 was released . This was followed by Festa in 2005 . In 2006 Britti took part in the Sanremo Festival again with … Solo con te . He also recorded the song Notte di mezza estate with Edoardo Bennato , which became another summer hit and initiated a joint tour between the two musicians.

In 2007 Britti gave a concert in the MTV Unplugged series and released an album of the same name. The next album was released in 2009.23 . The musician recorded Immaturi in 2011 as the title track of the film Back on Los by Paolo Genovese . The single release was followed by the first best-of album. In 2013 the single Baciami (e portami a ballare) was released , which preceded the album Bene so . Britti applied for the 2014 Sanremo Festival with the song Non è vero mai , a duet with Bianca Atzei , but was rejected. He was only able to compete again in Sanremo in 2015 , this time with the song Un attimo importante . This was included on the album In nome dell'amore (Volume 1) released at the end of 2015 . The second part of the album was released in 2017.
