Alexander Metzger (born April 18, 1969 ) is a German DJ and music producer.

overview

He became known under the stage name Alex Butcher . He also appeared as the producer of Der Verfall , Sound 2 Light, Klinisch Tot and But & Memo. Formerly known as the light jockey & DJ of the Frankfurt airport disco Dorian Gray (1988-2000), he worked quite early with people like Torsten Fenslau (Culture Beat), Sven Väth , Mark Spoon , DJ Dag , Nosie Katzmann and others

He used his work in well-known clubs to expand his musical skills and knowledge. Alex Butcher released his first record on Overdrive Records in 1991 . The title Sound to Light - He Butcher became a big club hit. Further productions and remixes followed. Finally, together with his friend and producer partner Alexander Abraham (LDC, Klangwerk and Echo 2000), he founded the club project “DER VERFALL”, which was then also represented in the official German and Austrian sales charts. His solo project “Alex Butcher” also entered the German charts . Furthermore, he reached numerous dance charts and remixed for acts such as Culture Beat , Dance 2 Trance , Mark 'Oh , Kim Sanders , DJ Taylor & Flow ( Global Deejays ), Pascal Feos, Manuel Schleis and many more. He was able to underline his greatest successes with five chart hits.
