Zingerle made his debut in the World Cup on December 16, 2012 at the giant slalom on the Gran Risa in Alta Badia , where he was classified in 49th place Victories (all in slalom). In the European Cup he started to get into the points regularly. At the Junior World Championships in 2013 he won a second silver medal in the giant slalom. On December 14, 2013 he was able to win his first World Cup points when he finished 18th in the slalom on the Face de Bellevarde in Val-d'Isère with the high starting number 59.
