Alexander Dannenberg

Alexander Dannenberg (* 1967 in Berlin (West) ) is a German film producer and director . He is also the founder and CEO of the Berlin-based entertainment company Cinemakers .

Live and act

Alexander Dannenberg spent childhood and youth in Berlin-Tempelhof . After graduating from the Eckener High School, he studied history, classical archeology and library science at the Free University of Berlin and completed his studies in 1995 with a Magister Artium .

Dannenberg began his career in 1996 after completing his autodidactic degree in the film industry and his first practical experience. He became known in the media sector as the founder and producer of the Berlin-based entertainment company Cinemakers , primarily through elaborate TV feature film productions such as Decision in the Ice (2001), Beloved Thief (2002), It was murder and a village is silent (2005) and Missing - Love Can Be Deadly (2007). In addition, he was also active in the development, financing and implementation of national and international cinema projects.

The projects he developed were nominated for the German Screenplay Award three times in a row (2000–2002). His project The Far Side Of The Sea won the 2004 German Film Award in Gold for the best screenplay not yet filmed. Other productions also received prizes and awards.

Dannenberg has been a member of the International Emmy Academy since 2006 and was a semi-final juror in the categories Best TV-Movie / Mini-Series and Best Actor / Actress for the International Emmy Awards 2006.

From 2008 to 2010, as Head of Movie Production, he was responsible for all feature film activities at Grundy UFA . He then moved within UFA as a producer at the sister company teamWorx , where he worked until 2012.
