Alexander Falk (politician)

Alexander Friedrich Wilhelm Falk (born November 10, 1805 in Landshut in Silesia , † November 15, 1887 in Hastings (Nebraska) ) was a German teacher and politician .

Life

Alexander Falk was born as the son of the pastor in Tribus near Treptow and later superintendent in Landshut Johann Gottfried Ludwig Falk and his wife Emma born. Hoffmann born. Adalbert Falk is his nephew.

Falk initially received lessons from his father and from 1818 attended the Knights' Academy in Liegnitz and from 1820 the grammar school in Hirschberg . He studied Protestant theology from 1824 to 1826 and from 1826 philology and history in Breslau . In 1829 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. Alexander Falk was a candidate for teaching in Breslau from 1829 to 1830 and taught at the Magdalenen and Friedrichsgymnasium. In 1830 he became a grammar school teacher in Schweidnitz . From 1832 to 1843 he was vice rector at the grammar school and head of the city library in Lubań . From 1843 to 1854 he was the owner of the Ottolangendorf manor in the Wartenberg district. From July to September 1851 he worked as an unskilled worker and from 1852 to 1868 as a state economist.

He was a member of the German National Assembly ( Westendhall faction ) from 1849 to 1849 . In 1849 he took part in the Gotha post-parliament . In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament . From 1849 to 1852 he was a member of the second Prussian Chamber
