Alexander Friedrich (politician)

Johann Alexander Friedrich (born September 23, 1843 in Wertheim , † January 2, 1906 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian teacher and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Alexander Friedrich was the son of the court carpenter Johann Jacob Friedrich and his wife Sophie Catharina, nee Höfer. Friedrich, who was a Protestant, married Julie Marie Wilhelmine nee Kayser (* 1842).

Friedrich studied philosophy and theology at the University of Heidelberg from 1861 to 1864 . From 1864 to 1867 he was a teacher in Heidelberg and Darmstadt. From 1873 to 1906 he was a teacher and professor at the Ludwig-Georgs-Gymnasium in Darmstadt.

From 1884 to 1899 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 12 / Darmstad-Land .
