Karl Schenck (politician, 1831)

Karl Friedrich Jakob Schenck (born September 19, 1831 in Darmstadt ; † July 31, 1902 in Lindenfels ) was a Hessian lawyer and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Karl Schenck was the son of the Upper Finance Chamber President August Schenck (1788-1875) and his wife Jeanette Margarethe, née Pfaltz (1798-1865). Schenck, a Protestant , married Olga Cornelia, born Alewyn (1840–1912) in Offenbach am Main on June 2, 1864 , daughter of Major Gustav Alewyn and Jeanette Elisabeth, born d'Orville.

Schenck studied law and became Ministerial Secretary 3rd class in 1864. In 1866 he was given the character of a second class ministerial advisor and was second class ministerial advisor the following year. From 1869 he was a staff auditor in Darmstadt and in 1869 court attorney and procurator at the court in Darmstadt . In 1876 he received the title of judiciary and in 1880 he was admitted to the bar at the Darmstadt Regional Court and the Darmstadt Higher Regional Court .

From 1872 to 1875 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 12 / Darmstadt-Land .
