August Noack (politician)

August Richard Wilhelm Karl Ludwig Gottlieb Noack (* July 23, 1857 in Darmstadt ; † June 26, 1926 there ) was a Hessian architect and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

August Noack was the son of the court painter August Noack and his wife Caroline Sophie Justine, née Frobenius (1827–1900). Noack, who was of Protestant faith, married Rosa, born in Berlin, on September 28, 1889 (* 1867). He studied architecture in Darmstadt and worked as an architect in Berlin from 1883 to 1885. From 1888 to 1895 he worked as a fire insurance inspector in Darmstadt and then at the central office for trade. Most recently he was chairman of the central office with the rank of government councilor.

From 1899 to 1911 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 12 / Darmstadt-Land .

August Noack is the father of Elisabeth Noack and her brother Friedrich Noack, who were both well-known musicologists.
