Alexander Igorewitsch Komaristy ( Russian Александр Игоревич Комаристый ; born October 2, 1989 in Sjewjerodonetsk , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in the Continental Hockey League since December 2017 .
Career
Alexander Komaristy began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of lower-class Moscow clubs. From there he moved to HK Homel , for whose second team he was active in the Belarusian second division from 2006 to 2008. For the 2008/09 season , the center returned to Russia and made his professional ice hockey debut for Yuzhny Ural Orsk when he scored nine goals in a total of 41 games and made ten assists in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division.
From the 2009/10 season Komaristy played for Vityas Chekhov in the Continental Hockey League . At Vitjas he was able to assert himself as a regular player in his first two KHL seasons and was even voted the KHL's best rookie of the month in January 2010 . At the same time he played from 2009 to 2011 for Vitjas' junior team in the multinational junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga .
For the 2011/12 season Komaristy moved within the KHL to HK Spartak Moscow , left the club a year later and played for Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk between July 2012 and December 2013 . He was also used at Kristall Saratow .
Between 2014 and 2017, Komaristy was under contract with Metallurg Novokuznetsk , where he served as assistant captain for two years before returning to Spartak Moscow in May 2017.
International
For Russia Komaristy took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2009 , where he won the bronze medal with his team. He contributed to this success with two assists in seven games.
