Alexander Lintl

Alexander Lintl (* 1960 in Vienna ) is an Austrian stage and costume designer for theater , opera , film , exhibition - and event design.

biography

After graduating from high school, Alexander Lintl studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna . From 1981 to 1985 he attended the master class for industrial design with Hans Hollein , Alessandro Mendini and Mario Bellini . From 1985 to 1989 he attended the master class of Axel Manthey and Klaus Zehelein . Parallel to his studies, he realized his own theater projects in the university's master class. In 1989 he graduated with a diploma with honors, with the performance of Heiner Müller's heart.

Since 1990 Lintl has been working internationally as a freelance stage and costume designer for operas and drama. Since 1993 he has been responsible for the costume design and the implementation of “high-end” show costumes for the Life Ball Vienna . The costumes have won several awards.

In 1999, Lintl was named Quizoola for his stage design in the annual Theater heute magazine survey. named by Thomas Oberender as the best young stage designer.

He was visiting professor at New Design University in the interior design and 3D design course.

Alexander Lintl lives in Vienna.
