Alexander Möhlen († 1930 ) was a German court - Photographer in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Life

Under the portrait of the person portrayed the coat of arms of the court , from which Möhlen had obtained the title of court photographer; here with the address of Georgsplatz

After the Photographische Verein zu Hannover met on June 16, 1902 in an extraordinary meeting with Dr. Lindström was presented by the Hanover Chamber of Crafts "as a functioning professional representation and [...] was also accepted as such", Alexander Möhlen became chairman of the first general meeting of professional photographers working in and around Hanover on January 26, 1903 in the Rheinischer Hof elected by the association. Möhlen thus played an important role in founding the first photographers' guild in the Hanover area.

For the inauguration of the New Town Hall in Hanover, court photographer Möhlen donated “free portrait photos of the members of the municipal colleges presented in the commemorative publication”.

Well-known studios

In the course of 1907 the Hildesheim photographer Carl Kesselhuth sold his studio to Alexander Möhlen, who has since operated the studio in Hildesheim as a branch. Möhlen ran studios in
