Alexander Rieder (politician)

Alexander Rieder (born July 4, 1961 in St. Johann im Pongau ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). Since June 2018 he has been a member of the Salzburg State Parliament .

Life

After primary school in St. Johann im Pongau , Alexander Rieder first attended the secondary school there for two years and, from 1974, the secondary sports school “Stephaneum” in Bad Goisern for two years . He then graduated from the college for tourism professions in Kleßheim , where he graduated in 1982 . After the military service , he worked in the family business. He has been working at the Bischofshofen Tourism School since 1985 , initially as an educator in the boys' boarding school and teacher until 1990. At the same time, he did a pedagogical training at the Pedagogical Institute in Salzburg and at the Professional Pedagogical Academy in Linz from 1988 to 1991 . From 1992 to 2000 he was a teacher and board member at the Bischofshofen Tourism School and from 2000 to 2011 head of the school and boarding school. Since 2011 he has been a teacher there again. From 2009 to 2018 he was also a member of the college of the Salzburg State School Council .

politics

From 1999 to 2008 Alexander Rieder was a member of the community council in St. Johann im Pongau and from 1999 to 2004 also a member of the community council . Since 2014 he has been a member of the community council again. In 2016 he became deputy district party chairman of the FPÖ in Pongau . On 13 June 2018 he was in the inaugural parliament session of the 16th legislative term as a Member of the Salzburg Parliament sworn in .
