Alexander Rother (born May 20, 1993 ) is an Austrian football player .
Career
Rother began his career at FC Judenburg . In 2007 he switched to the youth of the Grazer AK . In 2009 he came to AKA HIB Liebenau . In March he made his debut for the first team of the GAK in the regional league when he was in the starting line-up against USV Allerheiligen on matchday 16 of the 2009/10 season and was replaced by Simon Kramberger in the 80th minute .
For the 2010/11 season he switched to the amateurs of SK Sturm Graz , where he was also used in the academy in his first season. In 2013 he was awarded to the second division club TSV Hartberg .
He made his second division debut in September 2013 when he came on as a substitute for Lukas Ried in the 88th minute against SC Austria Lustenau on the eleventh match day of the 2013/14 season . He scored his only goal for Hartberg in May 2014 in a 2-1 win against Kapfenberger SV .
For the 2014/15 season he moved to the regional division SC Kalsdorf . After half a year at Kalsdorf, he moved to Burgenland in January 2015 for the fourth-class SV Oberwart . With the club he rose to the end of the season in the regional league. Rother was used in 13 games for Oberwart and scored four goals.
After the promotion he returned to Styria in summer 2015 and joined the fourth-class SV Lebring . After a season at Lebring, he moved to league competitor USV Mettersdorf in 2016 . For Mettersdorf played 29 games in the regional league in the 2016/17 season and scored 25 goals. He was the second best goalscorer in the Styrian national league that season behind Marko Guja .
In January 2018 he returned to the league competitor GAK. With the Grazers he rose to the end of the season in the regional league. Until promotion he was used in 14 games and scored nine goals.
For the 2020/21 season he moved to the fourth-class ASK Voitsberg .
