Alexander von Wussow

Friedrich Carl Philipp Alexander von Wussow (born January 22, 1820 in Berlin ; † May 30, 1889 in Bad Wittekind ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and district administrator in the Heiligenstadt district in 1857/64 .

Life

origin

Alexander was the son of the Prussian infantry general Philipp von Wussow (1792-1870) and his first wife Auguste, née Düring. Lieutenant General Botho von Wussow (1828-1891) was his stepbrother.

Career

Wussow studied law and camera science in Berlin from 1838 to 1841 . From 1843 he worked as an auscultator at the regional and municipal court and from 1844 as a government trainee in Liegnitz . Then he was administrator of the district office in Lauban and from 1851 government assessor in Erfurt . Since 1856 he worked as an unskilled worker in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior and from 1857 in the police headquarters in Berlin. From 1857 Wussow officiated as district administrator in the district of Heiligenstadt. From 1864 he was employed as a councilor in Arnsberg and from 1867 as an unskilled worker in the Prussian Ministry of Culture. In 1871 Wussow was appointed a secret councilor and in 1874 a secret senior councilor. In 1886 he was adopted into retirement .

Wussow married Anna von Byern (1821-1893) on February 14, 1843 . The couple had several children:
