Johann Georg Philipp von Wussow (born May 1, 1792 in Potsdam , † September 7, 1870 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) was a Prussian infantry general and adjutant general of King Wilhelm I.

Philipp was a son of the Prussian captain and lord of Wulkow Franz von Wussow (1752-1800) and his wife Dorothea, née Schmidt (1753-1835).

Military career

From April 8, 1848 to May 1, 1850 Wussow was in command of the Koblenz Fortress . On the occasion of his 50th anniversary of service, Wussow received the diamonds for the Order of the Red Eagle, 1st class with oak leaves. He was also awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown and the Order of Albrecht on February 16, 1861 . On October 18, 1861, he received the Grand Cross of the Red Eagle Order. Wussow married Auguste Düring (1800-1821) on March 16, 1819 in Berlin.
