Alexandra Alexandrovna Schirjajewa ( Russian Александра Александровна Ширяева , today Alexandra Moissejewa ; born February 9, 1983 in Leningrad ) is a Russian beach volleyball player .

Career

Schirjajewa won the 2003 Junior World Championship in Saint-Quay-Portrieux with Anna Morosowa. Since 2005 she has formed a permanent duo with Natalja Urjadowa . The following year the Russians won the European Championship in The Hague in the final against the Dutch women Rebekka Kadijk and Merel Mooren . At the 2007 World Cup, they lost to the German duo Helke Claasen and Antje Röder in the first main round . In 2008 in Beijing they took part in the Olympic tournament and were eliminated with three defeats in the group stage. Special attention was paid to the last game against the Brazilians Saka / Rtwelo , who started for Georgia , because the encounter took place during the Caucasus War.

2011 played Schirjajewa-Moissejewa in a new duo with Jekaterina Syrzewa . After a break in 2012, the Russians played together again from August 2013. In 2014 Syrzewa / Moissejewa took second place at the FIVB tournament in Anapa, after a final defeat against the German Bieneck / Großner .
