Alexandra Stegmann (born October 17, 1983 in Nuremberg ) is a former German soccer player . The defender played for the Bundesliga club SC Freiburg .

Career

Stegmann began her career at ASV Herzogenaurach, and came to the then top division club SC Freiburg in 1999 through SV Weil, SG Grenzach-Wyhlen and TuS Lörrach-Stetten. In 2001 she rose to the first Bundesliga with SC Freiburg and from there played continuously in the top German division. In the early summer of 2007, Stegmann tore a cruciate ligament and was unable to participate in the entire preliminary round of the 2007/2008 season. In the second half of the season, in which Stegmann was practically placed in the right full-back position, the SC managed to keep the league in a remarkable chase to catch up. Stegmann was on the field for all wins of the season, five of six times over 90 minutes. In the summer of 2008, she ended her active career at the age of 24.

International

Stegmann played 21 times in the U19 national team and eleven times in the U21s .

Career

Alexandra Stegmann studied at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg Mathematics on Diploma , graduated in 2010 with "very good", and currently works as a business consultant. On April 2, 2011 she was a candidate in the game show Schlag den Raab . After 13 games she was defeated by Raab with 18:73 points.
