Alexandru Suvorov ( Russian Александр Суворов / Alexander Suvorov ) (born February 2, 1987 in Chișinău , Moldovan SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Moldovan football player .
Career
Suvorov made his professional debut in the 2002/03 season as a striker for Sheriff Tiraspol at the age of 15 . He spent most of his career with the Moldovan record champions, only in 2008 he played on loan at FC Tiraspol . During the 2009/10 season he finally moved to KS Cracovia Krakow in the Polish Ekstraklasa . At the end of November 2012, he announced that he would not extend his contract, which would expire at the end of 2012. At first, Suvorov was without a club before he returned to his homeland and signed a one-year contract with Academia UTM Chișinău .
In the summer of 2013, Suvorov joined Mordowija Saransk in the Russian 1st Division . In the 2013/14 season he was only used three times and mostly sat on the substitute bench. His situation did not change in the following season either. In February 2015, he joined FC Milsami in the Republic of Moldova. Here, too, he only came on short occasions. In early 2016 he returned to Academia Chișinău. In 2016/17 he played for FC Zaria Bălți and since then for FC Sfintul Gheorghe Suruceni .
Suvorov is known for his strong left foot and has long been an integral part of the Moldovan national football team .
