Alexei Petrovich Rastworzew ( Russian Алексей Петрович Растворцев ; born August 8, 1978 in Belgorod , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian handball player . He is 2.00 m tall.
Alexei Rastworzew, who played for the Russian club Medvedi Chekhov and the Macedonian club RK Vardar Skopje (shirt number 25) and played for the Russian national handball team (shirt number 15), was mostly used on the left on the back .
Career
Rastworzew began in the children's and youth sports school and in 1989 in the local handball club in Belgorod with the handball game. In 1995 he started at Energija Voronezh and then moved to Medvedi Chekhov in 2003 . With the men from the city of 150,000 in Moscow Oblast, he won the Russian championship ten times between 2004 and 2013 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2005/2006 . Despite repeated interest from top European clubs, he stayed with Medvedi Chekhov. Only when Medwedi got into financial difficulties in the summer of 2013 and let his stars go, did he join the up-and-coming Macedonian team RK Vardar Skopje. With Vardar he won the trophy in 2014 and 2015 and the SEHA league in 2014 . However, he missed much of the season due to an injury. In the 2015/16 season he ran for the Serbian club RK Vojvodina , with which he won the championship. Then he ended his career.
Alexei Rastworzew has played over 250 international matches for the Russian national team, throwing over 890 goals . In 2003 he was the national team's top scorer. With it he won at the 2004 Olympics the bronze medal , finishing at the 2008 Olympics in sixth place. He also took part in the World Championships in Germany in 2007 (quarter-finals), in Croatia (preliminary round) in 2009 and in Spain (quarter-finals) in 2013 . He was also a member of the team at the European Championships from 2006 to 2012.
Rastworzew graduated from the Sports University in Voronezh . He is married and has one child.
