Alfons Maria Borst

Alfons Maria Dionysius Borst (born July 10, 1893 in Bad Neustadt , † October 14, 1973 ibid) was a German district school councilor , local history researcher , archivist and author. He was a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP).

Life

Borst was born on July 10, 1893 in Bad Neustadt. He was one of four sons of the pastry chef and wax maker Michael Valentin Borst and his wife Babette Witzel. Before the First World War he was a junior teacher in Aschaffenburg , Mellrichstadt and Schwemmelsbach . During this war he was a soldier in France and was wounded there. In 1918 he married Anna Elisabeth Fink. From 1919 he worked as a teacher again. In 1930 he was promoted to the district school board. In the Third Reich , in addition to his teaching post, he was employed in various functions with the NSDAP. After 1945 he was no longer allowed to practice his profession as a teacher. In the city archives Bad Neustadt the heimatkundlich interested worked as a nurse archive up to about 1972nd
