Alfonso García (born February 2, 1998 ) is a Spanish ice hockey player who has been playing in the super league at CH Majadahonda since 2014 .

Career

Alfonso García began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the CH Majadahonda , for which he made his debut in the Superliga in 2014 , after having played in the second team that plays in the second Spanish division in the preseason. In 2015 he was pulled by the Komoka Dragons in the 6th round of the GMHL Draft in 195th place, but still stayed in Majadahonda.

International

For Spain, García took part in the junior division at the U18 World Junior Championships of Division II in 2014 , 2015 and 2016 , when he was the top scorer among the defenders of the tournament, as well as the U20 World Junior Championships of Division II in 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and In 2018 , when he was voted the best player on his team. He led his team onto the ice as captain at the U18 tournaments in 2015 and 2016 and at the U20 tournaments in 2016 and 2017.

He made his debut in the men's national team at the World Cup of Division II in 2015 , when he met Australia in the opening game against relegated Australia . He also played for the Iberians in Division II in 2016 , 2017 and 2018. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang .
