Alfred Bullesbach

Alfred Büllesbach (born July 29, 1942 in Windthorst ) is a German lawyer and former state data protection officer of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen .

Professional activities

Büllesbach first completed an apprenticeship in the social insurance sector at AOK . After completing his military service , he attended the Munich College and graduated from high school in 1968. He then studied law , philosophy , political science , sociology and economics and obtained his diploma in political science at the Munich School of Politics in 1972 and the second state examination as a lawyer in 1978 . In 1984 he graduated as Dr. iur. with a thesis on information technology and data protection .

From July 1, 1983 to August 1990, he was the state data protection officer for the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. Büllesbach had previously been the deputy state representative since March 1979. He then switched to the private sector and was corporate data protection officer at Daimler-Benz from 1995 to 2006 , and later at DaimlerChrysler . In January 2009, Büllesbach joined the Munich office of the law firm Noerr as a consultant .

Academic activity

Büllesbach taught in the Faculty of Law as well as in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science in Bremen. In 1991 he became an honorary professor for applied informatics with a focus on legal informatics .

Others

Büllesbach was a member of the Society for Law and Administrative Informatics. After it merged with the German Society for Computer Science and Law to form the German Society for Law and Computer Science , Büllesbach became head of the Data Protection Committee in 1992. In 1997 he became a board member, 1999 first chairman of the board and in 2001 he was confirmed in this office.
