Alfred Jaukus
Alfred Jaukus (born October 25, 1925 , † unknown) was a German football player who played 35 games for SC Chemie Halle-Leuna from 1954 to 1957 in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football , and played six goals scored. In 1956 he won the GDR Cup with the SC Chemie .
Athletic career
After the Second World War , Alfred Jaukus first played football in the small town of Ammendorf near Halle (Saale) . He started at ZSG Industrie in 1948 , which was converted into the Betriebsportgemeinschaft (BSG) Motor Ammendorf in 1950 . With Jaukus, the BSG qualified in 1952 for the newly founded third-class district league Halle district . At the beginning of 1954 Jaukus was banned for six months, after which he switched to the football focus of the Halle district, the SC Chemie Halle-Leuna.
Jaukus was employed by SC Chemie from the beginning of the league season 1954/55. Already on the 1st match day he scored his first point goal in the home game against Einheit Ost Leipzig . By the end of the season, when he had completed a total of 19 point games, he came, mainly playing as a right striker, on five goals in the league. The end of the season meant relegation to the GDR league for SC Chemie . In the fall of 1955, a transition round to transition to the calendar year rhythm with 13 games had to be completed. Jaukus was used in ten games and scored three goals. In the 1956 GDR league season, the Halle residents managed to return to the league immediately, in which Jaukus played a decisive role. He played all 26 point games and, together with Werner Lehrmann , was the best goalscorer in Halle with 21 goals. At the end of the season, SC Chemie won the final of the GDR soccer cup. In the 2-1 victory over ZASK Vorwärts Berlin , Jaukus was used in his regular position as the right attacker.
In his second league season in 1957, Jaukus was initially set as a right winger again. By the 16th matchday he had completed all the point games and scored four goals. For reasons that could not be determined, he then no longer appeared in the Halle contingent. From 1958 to 1960 he played again for BSG Motor Ammendorf, which in those years still played in the Halle district league, but which was now only fourth class. With Jaukus, she was promoted to the 2nd GDR League in 1960 , in which the 34-year-old Jaukus no longer competed.
