Ali Farahat

Ali Adel Farahat (with the World Chess Federation FIDE until 2014 Ali Frhat ; born August 22, 1975 ) is an Egyptian chess player and coach who has been eligible to play for the United States Chess Federation since April 2019 .

At the African individual championship in 2005 in Lusaka , he finished third. For this he received the title of International Master . He finished third again in the 2014 African Championship in Windhoek . At the 2005 World Chess Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk , he lost to Levon Aronjan in the first round . In 2008 he won the 4th Open in Asyut . At the Egyptian individual championship in 2013 in Alexandria he finished second, the Egyptian championship in 2014 in Cairo he won.

With the Egyptian national team he took part in the Chess Olympiads in 2006 and 2008 with a total of 7 points from 14 games. He also played for Egypt at the 2015 World Team Championships (in Zaghkadzor ) and 2017 (in Khanty-Mansiysk ). At the 2017 Team World Cup, he achieved a norm for receiving the grandmaster title .

He won the Arab club championship in 2007 with the Egyptian team Al-Sharqiya Dukhan in Khartoum and in 2015 in Agadir . In 2017 he won the African club championship in Cairo with Al-Hawar , winning all of his seven games on the fifth board with an Elo rating of 2910 and thus had the best result of all players on the fifth board at this tournament.

Trainer

At the African Junior Championship in 2007 near Kasungu , Malawi, he was the coach of the Egyptian Kareim Wageih , who won the African Junior Championship and now holds the title of International Master. Ali Faraht was the trainer in the United Arab Emirates for the Dubai Chess Club and the Fujairah Chess Club . At the 2016 Chess Olympiad he was the team captain of the Egyptian women's team. Ali Farahat has been an official FIDE instructor since 2005, and he has been a FIDE trainer since 2013 .
