Ali Gaggl

Alberta "Ali" Gaggl (born October 15, 1959 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian jazz singer and composer .

Act

Gaggl studied jazz and popular music at the Conservatory of the City of Klagenfurt up to a diploma in singing as a major and piano as a minor (with Erich Kleinschuster and Harald Neuwirth ). As a vocalist, she was heard at numerous Austrian jazz concerts , initially with the Kundalini group . In 1995 she toured Europe and Canada with Kenny Wheeler and the Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra ; she can be heard on 8 albums with this formation. She toured Mexico with The minimal trio ( Uli Scherer , Emil Krištof ). In 2000, she put the album vocalize as Alberta G before. She also worked on Wolfgang Puschnig's Roots & Fruits with the Stage Band of the Vienna Art Orchestra . She works as a singing teacher at the Conservatory in Trieste, at the Bruckner University in Linz and at the Summer Academy in Viktring Castle.
