The 14 m long and 2.3 m wide gallery grave (French: allée couverte ) is located on the edge of the forest and on the edge of a plateau with a view of the Oise . Since the 14th century it has been called the "English cemetery" ( French cimetière aux anglais ). The name recalls the British occupation during the Hundred Years War . Amédée de Caix de Saint-Aymour (1843–1921) carried out an excavation in 1867 and found the remains of at least 75 people, as well as various flint tools .

The east-west oriented complex was built between 2500 and 1700 BC. And was built from sand and limestone slabs . Originally it consisted of three chambers, which were separated by partition walls. The plates are no longer in situ . An engraving, possibly depicting a boat, is visible next to the entrance plate. The lock stone is in the Museum of Guiry-en-Vexin .

Nearby are the Allée couverte von Dampont , another gallery tomb and the menhir Grande Pierre de Jouy .
