Vauréal is a French commune with 16,464 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Val-d'Oise department and is located on the north-western periphery of Paris . Vauréal belongs to the Arrondissement of Pontoise and the Canton of Vauréal . The inhabitants are called Vauréaliens .
geography
Vauréal is located about 35 kilometers northwest of Paris on the Oise .
The neighboring municipalities of Vauréal are Cergy in the north, Neuville-sur-Oise in the east, Jouy-le-Moutier in the south, Boisemont in the south-west and Courdimanche in the north-west.
