Butry-sur-Oise is a French commune with a population of 2,272 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Val-d'Oise in the region of Ile-de-France ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Pontoise and the canton of Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône (until 2015: canton of La Vallée-du-Sausseron ). The inhabitants are called butryots .
geography
Butry-sur-Oise is located about 30 kilometers north of Paris on the Oise . Butry-sur-Oise is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Valmondois in the north, L'Isle-Adam in the north-east, Mériel in the east and south and Auvers-sur-Oise in the west and south-west. The municipality is part of the Vexin français Regional Nature Park .
