Nointel Castle, facade

Nointel is a French commune with 816 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Val-d'Oise department of the Île-de-France region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Pontoise and the canton of L'Isle-Adam . The inhabitants are called Nointellois .

history

The rule of Nointel existed from the 11th century. It was subordinate to the lower local nobility as a fief of the Counts of Beaumont . When this family died, the family Turmenyes took over the lordship to the French Revolution .
