Jouy-le-Moutier is a French commune with 16,035 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Val-d'Oise department and is located on the north-western periphery of Paris on the Oise . Jouy-le-Moutier is part of the Pontoise arrondissement in the Cergy-2 canton . The inhabitants call themselves Jocassiens .

The neighboring municipalities of Jouy-le-Moutier are Vauréal in the north, Neuville-sur-Oise in the east, Maurecourt in the south, Triel-sur-Seine in the south-west and Boisemont in the north-west.
