Jörg Kiefel

Jörg Kiefel (* 1966 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German set designer and scenographer .

Life

Jörg Kiefel studied stage and film design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Axel Manthey , Klaus Zehelein , Frida Parmeggiani and Werner Schwab .

He has been a freelance set designer since 1998. Equipment u. a. at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg , Berliner Ensemble , Schauspielhaus Hannover , Münchner Kammerspiele , Staatstheater Stuttgart , Schauspielhaus Graz , Thalia Theater Hamburg , Schauspiel Essen , Schauspiel Frankfurt , Staatsschauspiel Dresden , Schauspiel Köln and at the Burgtheater in Vienna .

Cooperation and a. with the directors Hans Kresnik , Annette Pullen , Jan Philip Gloger , Franz Wittenbrink , Marc von Henning, Anselm Weber , Nicolas Stemann , Christina Paulhofer , Stefan Bachmann and Jonathan Meese .

From 2005 to 2007 he was head of equipment under the direction of Anselm Weber at the Schauspiel Essen.

Jörg Kiefel has been Professor of Scenography at the Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Design since 2015 .

Awards

With the production The Participants (staging: Stefan Bachmann) Jörg Kiefel was invited to the 2011 Theatertreffen in Berlin.

He received a grant from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research for outstanding achievements.
