Allée couverte from Mougau-Bihan
The Allée couverte von Mougau-Bihan is a gallery grave south of Commana in the Finistère department in Brittany in France . It is located on the edge of the Monts d'Arrée ridge , south of Commana, in the Armorique Regional Nature Park . It was researched in the 19th century, of which no record was made. In 1909 the monument was placed under protection.
The north-south oriented, relatively well preserved, between 3000 and 2500 BC. Allée couverte, dated to the Neolithic BC , is around 14.0 meters long and consists of an antechamber in the south and the approximately 11.0 m long and 1.5 m wide chamber. 19 bearing stones and five granite cap stones have been preserved . The entrance appears to have been near the north end on the east side.
Inside are reliefs of a style ax, daggers and female breasts. In addition to Kerguntuil, the facilities of Crec'h Quillé , Prajou-Menhir , La Maison des Feins von Tressé, in the Ille-et-Vilaine department and the Allée couverte de la Bellée near Boury-en-Vexin in the Oise department stand out for their petroglyphs .
