Everything for the cat (August Hinrichs)
Alles für die Katz is a German comedy in three acts by August Hinrichs .
action
Farmer Pfaffinger and the neighboring mill landlady are always quarreling. When Pfaffinger shoots the cat Peter who is hunting his hens, she demands pain and suffering money and no longer sells her property to the riding club. With the help of the representative Schlumberger, she writes angry letters and prepares a lawsuit. The two children, Ursula and Peter, try to make each other jealous with Vroni and Mr. Kruse. Towards the end of the play it emerges that Pfaffinger shot Schlumberger's cat and the marten brought his hens. Then Ursula says to Peter. "As true as Peter is dead, neither of us will become". When the matter is finally cleared up, the parents also give their consent.
