Raimund Rosenberger (born July 17, 1917 in Munich ; † October 30, 1990 there ) was a German composer , film composer , arranger and conductor .

Biographical information

After graduating from high school in 1936, Rosenberger did military service from 1936 to 1938. From 1938 to 1942 he attended the Musikhochschule in Munich and from 1942 to 1952 he was employed as a conductor at various theaters. From 1952 the young musician worked as a freelance composer. Rosenberger was President of the German Composers' Association from 1973 and Chairman of the GEMA Supervisory Board from 1982 .

From the second half of the 1950s, Rosenberger composed numerous film scores , including the classics Der Pauker (1958), Rosen für den Staatsanwalt (1959), Mein Schulfreund (1960), The Testament of Dr. Mabuse (1962), The Executioner of London (1963) and the Karl May films Through the Wild Kurdistan and In the Reiche of the Silver Lion (both 1965). His most important works for television include the soundtracks for the TV series Murder Commission and almost 100 comedy nobility episodes.

In addition, Rosenberger composed radio play music , several musicals , etc. a. "Twice Götz", "Fahr'n ma, Euer Gnaden" and "Das Erste Rendezvous", over 1000 compositions of dance music as well as folk music .
