Jo Hanns Rösler

Jo Hanns Rösler ( pseudonyms : Paul Feichten , Jacques Rose Garden , Hans April ; * April 7, 1899 as Johannes Oswald Rösler in Königstein / Elbe ; † September 25, 1966 in Munich ) was a German writer .

Life

Jo Hanns Rösler was the son of a middle-class linen weaver . He attended grammar school in Dresden and began to write and publish in his youth. At times he worked as an actor in Berlin , Vienna and Munich and since the 1930s as an author for various magazines, a. a. the simplicissimus and the youth . Because his stories had also appeared in Jewish magazines, he was banned from writing at the beginning of the “ Third Reich ” . However, this was later canceled, and Rösler wrote until 1945 a. a. Contributions for the Berlin cabaret of comedians and for the front theaters . Since 1935 he lived with his family in a house on the Hohenkogl above Feilnbach in Bavaria . He was married and had the daughters Christine, who continued a bed and breakfast set up by her mother in the Röslerhaus auf dem Kogl, and Josefine (1930-2011), who ran the well-known Hexenhäusl restaurant on the Kogl from 1978 to 2005 . A great grandson of Jo Hanns Rösler is the snowboarder Konstantin Schad .

Jo Hanns Rösler was a productive and successful entertainment writer who, with his harmless, conciliatory and humorous stories, primarily appealed to the readership of a large number of popular magazines and magazines . In addition, he wrote novels , film scripts (including for Mask in Blue ) and humorous scenes.
