Allgäu cheese route

The Allgäuer Käsestrasse is a 220 km long tourist route on Lake Constance.

It is operated by the Allgäuer Käsestraße association in Weiler im Allgäu . The association is responsible for the communities of Bodnegg , Amtzell , Wangen im Allgäu , Kißlegg , Argenbühl , Isny im Allgäu , Hergatz , Opfenbach , Heimenkirch , Lindenberg im Allgäu , Scheidegg , Weiler-Simmerberg , Oberreute , Stiefenhofen , Röthenbach , Grünenbach , Gestratz , Maierhöfen , Oberstaufen , Missen-Wilhams and Immenstadt in the Allgäu .

It cites 13 Heumilch- dairies and five Hofkäsereien over. It runs in the Westallgäu.

history

In 1997 the Westallgäuer Käsestrasse was founded. The Westallgäuer Käsestrasse association was founded in 2006. In 2013 the name of the association was changed to Allgäuer Käsestrasse.
