It is 30 to 45 inches long and 9 to 11 inches wide. The horny, reddish-brown leaf margins protrude. The pricking teeth on the leaf margin are 5 to 8 millimeters long and 10 to 15 millimeters apart. The leaf sap is pale yellow when dry.
Inflorescences and flowers
The inflorescence consists of five to ten branches and reaches a length of up to 100 centimeters. The rather dense, cylindrical grapes are up to 25 centimeters long. The narrow deltoid bracts have a length of 15 millimeters. The cloudy brick-red flowers are on 15 millimeter long peduncles . The flowers are 45 millimeters long and rounded at their base. At the level of the ovary , the flowers have a diameter of 9 to 10 millimeters. Above this, they are suddenly tapered to 5 to 6 millimeters, then bent slightly and finally widened towards the mouth. Your outer tepals are not fused together over a length of 10 millimeters. The stamens and the style protrude up to 1 millimeter from the flower.
