description
Vegetative characteristics
Aloe perrieri grows without a trunk, sprouts and forms dense groups. The roots are spindle-shaped. The roughly ten linearly narrowed leaves form rosettes . The green leaf blade is up to 30 inches long and 1.5 to 2 inches wide. There are numerous bright spots on it. The leaf surface is rough. The firm, white teeth on the leaf margin are about 1 millimeter long and 1 to 2 millimeters apart.
Inflorescences and flowers
The simple inflorescence reaches a length of 40 to 50 centimeters. The loose, cylindrical, pointed grapes are 15 to 20 centimeters long and consist of 20 to 30 flowers. The ovoid-pointed bracts are 3 to 4 millimeters long and 3 millimeters wide. The bell-shaped, deep pink flowers are almost white at the mouth. They stand on 15 millimeter long flower stalks . The flowers are 16 millimeters long and narrowed at their base. Above the ovary , the flowers are slightly expanded to form a wide open mouth. Your tepals are not fused together over a length of 8 millimeters. The stamens and the stylus do not protrude from the flower.
Systematics and distribution
Aloe perrieri is common in Madagascar on island mountains made of granite in dense grass or in clumps of Euphorbia species at altitudes of 800 to 1100 meters.
