Aloe praetermissa is a species of aloes in the subfamily of the Affodilla family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet praetermissa comes from Latin , means 'overlooked' and indicates that the species was previously misinterpreted.

Vegetative characteristics
Aloe praetermissa grows singly or sometimes divides into two to three rosettes . Often a short, upright or prostrate trunk is formed. The ten to 18 finally ascending, deltoid, pointed leaves form rosettes . Your cloudy gray-green leaf blade is 28 to 45 inches long and 7 to 12 inches wide. The leaf margin is entire or there are few soft teeth.
Inflorescences and flowers
The inflorescence is richly branched and spread out. It reaches a length of 120 centimeters. The upright to crooked, loose grapes consist of one-sided flowers. The bracts have a length of 5 to 8 millimeters and are 2.5 millimeters wide. The downy, reddish flowers are on 10 millimeter long, red pedicels . The flowers are 22 to 28 millimeters long. At the level of the ovary , the flowers have a diameter of 5 to 7 millimeters. Above it they are extended to the mouth. Your outer tepals are not fused together over a length of 7 millimeters. The stamens and the pen stand out from 1 to 3 millimeters from the flower.
Systematics and distribution
Aloe praetermissa is common in Oman on limestone at an altitude of about 1000 meters.
