Alois from Wiest

Alois Wiest , 1864 from Wiest , (born December 17, 1810 in Klosterbeuren , † January 20, 1890 in Stuttgart ) was a German judge and politician .

Life

Wiest grew up with relatives in Weingarten (Württemberg) from the age of four and then attended high school in Dillingen an der Donau . From 1829 to 1834 he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen .

After working at various courts in the Kingdom of Württemberg , Wiest became senior judicial assessor at the court in Esslingen am Neckar in 1841 . In 1848 he moved into the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates for the Saulgau District Office . In 1849 he became a public prosecutor . In 1851 he was removed from office for political reasons, re-elected to the state estates and remained there for the Oberamt Ehingen until 1868 and then until 1870 for the Oberamt Gmünd . From 1851 to 1856 he was vice president of the estates.

1859 Wiest was top Justice in Upper Tribunal Stuttgart , then in 1879 Oberlandesgerichtsrat the Stuttgart Court and a member of the Württemberg Administrative Court. In 1884 he was retired when he was awarded the title of Senate President.

At first Wiest was liberal , but switched to the conservative camp in the revolutionary years around 1848 . Wiest was against the accession of Württemberg to the German Empire .
