Life

He was the son of the teacher Johannes Baldus from Ruppach in Hessen-Nassau and his wife Charlotte Baldus-Enspel. After attending the high school in Montabaur , he studied theology at the University of Münster . There he received his doctorate in 1895 for Dr. theol.
