Altershausen is a village in the Haßberge with about 290 inhabitants. It belongs to Königsberg in Bavaria in the Haßberge district and is about three kilometers away.
history
Altershausen was first mentioned in 1120/40 in a private document from Diepertus, made out in "Altolueshuson".
According to a state treaty between the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and the Duchy of Saxony-Hildburghausen , the Ganerbendorf Altershausen, which had previously belonged to the Saxon office of Königsberg, was ceded to Würzburg in 1807 . In 1808 the place came back to Sachsen-Hildburghausen. From 1826, Altershausen, like Königsberg, belonged to the Duchy of Saxony-Coburg and Gotha until the end of the monarchy in 1918 .
Many clubs that still existed, such as MGV Concordia 1865, were founded during this time. Beer brewery and coal kiln as well as agriculture shaped the village back then. There was also a monastery. In the place there is the Moritzkirche of the Evangelical Lutheran parish. Its own school, inns and a brick factory are also evidence of its former greatness. It has belonged to Bavaria since 1920, was an independent municipality with Sechsthal in the Hofheim district in Lower Franconia and became a district of Königsberg in the Haßberg district as part of the municipal reform on July 1, 1972 .
